Products & services catalog

Available on Starter plans and up.

Stop retyping the same line items. The Products page is your price list — everything you sell, priced once, ready to drop onto invoices.

What goes in the catalog

Each entry has a Type that shapes the rest of the form:

Type For Suggested units
Physical Parts, materials, goods each, lb, ft, sq ft, gal, box, case…
Labor Billable work hour, half-hour, day, flat
Service Packaged offerings each, hour, day, flat, session

Plus: Name (required), Category (free text like "Parts" or "Installation"), SKU / Code, Unit price (required), your Cost, the Unit, a Taxable flag, and a Description.

The live margin preview

Enter both a price and a cost and the form shows your margin instantly — "Margin: $45.00 (45%)". Price your catalog with your eyes open: if a line's margin looks thin in the form, it'll be thin on every invoice it lands on.

Using the catalog on invoices

When you create an invoice, the line-item description field suggests matching catalog entries as you type — shown as Name · SKU — $Price. Picking one fills the description and unit price in one keystroke.

The price is copied, not linked: editing a product later never rewrites past invoices, and you can still adjust the price on any individual invoice line.

Managing the list

  • Active toggle — retire items you no longer sell without deleting their history; the "Show inactive" switch reveals them
  • Filters — search by name, SKU, or category; filter by type
  • Your catalog also powers the Top Products / Services report on Professional plans — see Revenue and receivables
