Appointment booking through the portal

The Book an Appointment form on the client portal turns "when can you come out?" phone tag into a self-serve request.

What the client fills in

  • Service / Title — what they need ("Furnace inspection")
  • Date — today or later
  • Start and End times
  • Notes — gate codes, symptoms, anything useful

They submit and see a confirmation: "Your appointment has been booked! We'll see you then."

What happens on your side

The booking arrives as a Scheduled appointment, linked to that client:

  • It appears on your calendar immediately
  • If it's for today, it shows in the dashboard's Upcoming Appointments
  • It's listed on the client's profile under their Appointments tab
  • If you've enabled appointment reminder emails, the client gets the same reminder as any other appointment

Review requests as they land

Portal bookings are requests at the time the client chose — review them as part of your calendar routine. If a time doesn't work, drag the appointment to a better slot or update its status, and confirm with the client. Booking-savvy businesses check the calendar each morning; everything a client requested overnight is right there, color-coded and ready to triage.
